Speaking

In addition to the grassroots work I engage in (activism, leading workshops, trainings, and holding seminars), I have had the honor over the past two decades to be invited to speak in conferences throughout the world; from Japan to India, South Africa to the United States, and New Zeland to Europe.

My speaking is the sharing of my story, a story that always has new chapters in it. I share my struggles in understanding what it means to be a peace maker and an advocate for nonviolence. I speak of the connection that I have learned between personal and collective trauma, and the healing and transformation work that I experienced in my journey.

By sharing I hope to challenge what we were all brought up to believing is The Truth (culture, ideology, or even religion). To know that we have the right and even responsibility to seek our own truth.

I love speaking about the teachings of Jesus for example, because he challenged his followers to reach their highest potential as human beings. He even told his followers that they can achieve greater things that he did. He was a man who lived his life teaching and practicing unconditional love, who healed to free others from their constraints, who told us that we can actually live in peace and justice on this earth.
